Job Purpose |
This role is responsible for increasing customer confidence and loyalty by providing accurate, fast and courteous customer checkout, consistent operating conditions and a friendly atmosphere. | Employment in this role is temporary, may end at any time, and is generally limited within a location’s defined seasonal time period. |

Essential Responsibilities |
Responsibility | % Of Time | Provide continuous attention to customer needs; greet, assist and thank customers in a prompt, courteous and friendly manner. Listen to and appropriately escalate customer concerns to management with a positive attitude. Offer product suggestions when appropriate. | 40% | Manage lane according to service standards while maintaining financial responsibility. Accurately handle all cash register operations; operate cashiering equipment accurately and efficiently recognizing all forms of tender and providing the correct change when appropriate. | 30% | Operate department equipment and tools. Keep work area clean, orderly and free from safety hazards; Put up discarded or returned merchandise and stock front end products by handling and moving merchandise efficiently and safely; restock and use supply items efficiently to eliminate waste and to maintain the lowest supply cost. Return carts to shopping cart corral. Report faulty equipment and hazards to management. | 20% | Notify management of team member theft, customer shoplifting, unauthorized mark-downs, property defacement or any action that is illegal and/or against company policy. | 10% |
